How it works

From the first photo to the finished repair.

Redline keeps one permanent record of a property's condition. Here is every step, and who does what.

  1. 01

    Walk-through

A Redline team member walks the property and photographs every area, from the exterior and roof line to each room. Photos are sorted by area and turned into a branded PDF.

  2. 02

    Inspection

An independent inspector checks the systems in detail: roof, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, foundation, or the whole home. Inspectors are never paid for repairs and never see bids.

  3. 03

    RedScore

Each system is graded 0 to 100 on the same rubric used for every property, then combined into one RedScore. Redline never estimates a score without someone on site.

  4. 04

    Repair or maintain

If something is wrong, accredited companies bid on the work and you choose. If nothing is wrong, you get a preventative maintenance plan and care calendar.

01

Walk-through

A Redline team member walks the property and photographs every area, from the exterior and roof line to each room. Photos are sorted by area and turned into a branded PDF.

If something could not be reached, like a roof without a tall enough ladder, it is marked Not inspected with the reason, right on the report.

02

Inspection

An independent inspector checks the systems in detail: roof, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, foundation, or the whole home. Inspectors are never paid for repairs and never see bids.

Every flagged item from the walk-through comes with a direct way to schedule that inspection.

03

RedScore

Each system is graded 0 to 100 on the same rubric used for every property, then combined into one RedScore. Redline never estimates a score without someone on site.

The score and its history stay on the property record.

04

Repair or maintain

If something is wrong, accredited companies bid on the work and you choose. If nothing is wrong, you get a preventative maintenance plan and care calendar.

Only verified repairs move the score. The record transfers with the property when it sells.

Questions

What is the difference between a walk-through and an inspection?

A walk-through is a photo record of what we could see on site. An inspection is a detailed check of each system by an independent inspector, and it is what produces an accurate grade.

What if part of the property was not checked?

It is flagged as Not inspected on the report, with the reason, and you can schedule that inspection through Redline.

Do I have to hire a Redline company?

No. The report is yours. Accredited companies can bid if you want them to.

How do I know a badge is real?

Only companies Redline has audited and approved show a badge, and you can verify any badge on our site.
